Hello and welcome.
We all feel depressed, anxious, down, or stressed at times, but if you’ve been feeling these things a lot or even most of the time, lacking any enjoyment with nothing to look forward to, life can feel miserable. Additionally, you may not understand why you’ve been feeling this way, but know that you just don’t feel like your usual self, and you may be feeling powerless to change how you feel, or hopeless about things getting better. You might want to talk to someone about how you’re feeling but don’t want to burden friends or family, and may feel nervous or apprehensive, or embarrassed about seeking help from a counsellor or therapist.
You may also be suffering due to difficulties within your relationship, and experiencing resentment, confusion, and other difficult and painful emotions. You might be struggling to understand the dynamics and patterns in your relationship, and why you keep arguing with your partner or don't communicate, or why there is no intimacy when there used to be, asking yourself why your relationship is a source of pain and stress rather than love, comfort and joy. Alternatively you may be aware that you struggle with feelings of low self-worth, confidence or esteem, and are very critical (a strong inner critic) of yourself, or others.
I’ll provide you with a space in which you feel safe, and supported to explore, express and understand your feelings and relationship difficulties in confidence and without judgment, so that together we can help you find a way through them to greater wellbeing and enjoyment, and discover the solutions to the problems and challenges in your relationships and your life. I provide counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples in London (Brixton, Clapham, Streatham, and elsewhere in South West London) and online.
I help individuals and couples find freedom from the suffering they experience due to;
Why Counselling or Therapy?
We all experience difficulties in our lives, but these are often made worse by the thoughts and beliefs we have about ourselves, other people, relationships, and life in general, which inform how we think, feel and behave. Sometimes these thoughts and beliefs are unhelpful and lead us to act and feel in ways which cause suffering in our lives, but most of the time we are unaware of what we are thinking and believing, and without the help of another person can find it difficult to see or understand ourselves fully.
I’m a counsellor and therapist who will help you explore and understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, in order to find new ways of viewing things, leading to a happier and more fulfilling and satisfying life.
I'm a counsellor and therapist working in Clapham and elsewhere in South West London who also believes that it is through having compassion for yourself in the difficulties you experience that you will find find freedom from your pain and suffering and see change happen in yourself and your life.
Choosing a therapist or counsellor can be confusing, daunting and overwhelming, and it can be hard to know if you will feel safe and comfortable enough with someone to share with them painful and difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences. That’s why I offer a free initial telephone consultation for up to 15 minutes so that you can see whether I might be the right kind of therapist for you. Please contact me via text, telephone or email if you would like to arrange a call with me. I look forward to hearing from you.
